DAILY BULLETIN



Students:

1.     Attention students: If you leave campus or cross the street you are not allowed to ride the bus home.

2.     Students are to use the MPR bathrooms at break and at lunch. Center Bathrooms and East Bathrooms are off limits during those times.

3.     Students who use cellphones to record school activities can face disciplinary action. Cell phones are to be put away and not seen during school hours.

4.     Students, make sure your clothing meets dress code. You will be asked to change if you are out of dress code.

5.     Do you have boring basic Saturdays? VO has a program known as Saturday University where kids can experience school in new ways than ever before. Our next Saturday University is April 21st, from 9:00-1:15. ALL students are welcome.  If you would like more information about Saturday U, visit the Valley Oak web page.

6.     Students:  During lunch the grass area is for students who are actively playing.  If you are standing around you will be redirected to the blacktop.  "No play, no stay"

7.     AVID pizza sales will be taking place on Tuesdays. $2 a slice. We will be located outside the MPR.

8.     Attention 8th graders wanting to take dance next year. Golden West Illusions Dance Team and Advanced Dance Auditions are right around the corner! Workshops to learn the dance and technique you'll be judged on will be held Monday, April 16th, from 7:00-8:00 PM and Tuesday, April 17th, from 3:30-4:30. Auditions will be held Thursday, April 19th, beginning at 4:30 PM. ALL workshops and auditions will be held in the Golden West dance studio. Audition packets will be available in the Valley Oak front office Monday, April 9th.  If you have any questions please email smeyers at vusd.org or call 730-7801 ext. 1003.

9.     Attention 7th Grade Students: if you are interested in being in Valley Oaks Leadership class for the 2018-2019 school year stop by the office to pick up an application. Applications are due back to the office by Friday, May 4th.

10.   Attention 7th Grade Students:  Are you kind? Do you think you would be a good WEB Leader?  If you answered yes to those questions then pick up a WEB application in the office. Friday, May 4th, is your last day to turn in the completed application to Mr. Evans in room 705.

11.   Attention Students:  Your Points WILL NOT carry over to next year.  Make sure you spend your points before the end of the year. The student store will be close for the year after Thursday May 24th.

12.   Attention 7th Graders:  If you are interested in applying for an elective class such as, Yearbook, Leadership, AVID, Robotics and Advanced Art for next year please pick up your elective form from your ELA teacher.  Forms will be available Wednesday, April 11th, and due to your ELA teacher Friday, April 20th.

13.   Students who are going on the Monterrey Bay Field Trip May 12th, must attend a meeting this Friday right after school in room 204. Any questions see your science teacher.

14.   Attention 7th graders! Do you love to sing with the radio? How about singing in the shower?  You may be just who we are looking for to join Valley Oak's TOP Choir!  Think this might be you? Come by the choir room at lunchtime this Wednesday for a quick meeting to find out what it means to join Concert Choir and if it's right for you!  See you Wednesday in room 307!
