DAILY BULLETIN

Students:


1.   Golden West Dance Auditions...if you are interested in taking a dance class or being on the Illusions Dance Team you MUST audition for appropriate class placement. Workshops to learn the audition dance and skills you'll need to know will be Monday, April 29th, 7:30-8:30 PM and Tuesday, April 30th, 3:30-4:30 PM. Auditions will be held Thursday, May 2nd, beginning at 4:00 PM. You can sign up for your audition time at the workshops. All workshops and auditions will be held in the Golden West Dance Studio. Please stop by the Valley Oak main office to pick up your audition packet today. If you have any questions please email scullum at vusd.org. Thank you.
2.   Attention 8th Grade Students:  Appropriate dress for both boys and girls will be required at the 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony.  Absolutely NO baggy or saggy pants, spaghetti straps, backless dresses, hats, or other clothing that violates the VUSD Dress Code will be allowed.  Any student violating the dress code will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.
3.  Warmer days are approaching.  Please be aware of the dress code.  Students coming to school out of dress code will be required to change.  Please refer to the dress code policy in the Student Conduct Code handbook on the VUSD website.  https://www.vusd.org/domain/2174
4.  Don't Let the Memories Get Away!!!!  Secure the 2018-2019 memories with a yearbook. As a bonus, you're automatically entered for a chance to win a MacBook Air*  (a $1,200 value).
5.  Reminder that selling food items on campus is prohibited.  If you are caught selling stuff to other students you will face consequences.
6.  Would you enjoy an early release to lunch next Wednesday? All you have to do is get to every class - on time. All students who accrue zero tardies will earn a 5 minute early lunch release next Wednesday. You can do it!
7.  Cell phones are to be in backpacks and turned off from 8:15 am - 3:19 pm.
8.  Attention Students with second lunch; if you would like to go to the library during lunch, you can pick up a lunch pass from the librarian before school or during break.  This policy will start immediately and remain in effect until further notice.
9.  Attention students: If you leave campus or cross the street you are not allowed to ride the bus home.

10. Students are to use the MPR bathrooms at break and at lunch. Center Bathrooms and East Bathrooms are off limits during those times.

11. Students who use cellphones to record school activities can face disciplinary action. Cell phones are to be put away and not seen during school hours.
