Students, if you take COS classes, it is your responsibility provide Mrs. Roebuck a copy of your COS transcript so she can add them to your VTEC transcript.  Please do so by the 3rd week of the semester following the class taken.  If you took a summer school class - you need to get your transcripts in by the end of next week.


Picture Re-Takes - September 26th.



Yearbooks for Sale - Yearbook Pricing Deadlines:  $45 until January 31st; $50 until May 21st and $55 for the remaining school year.  There will only be a hardcopy option available this year.  See Mrs. Fraley in Room 6, or any yearbook staff member with questions.
If you are interested in joining the ASL Club - sign up in the breezeway.

VTEC Chess Club will meet Monday and Wednesday during lunch in the Party Barn.  You can sign up in the Breezeway and/or see Joseph Miller.

**Students were issued an ID card on picture day.  If you misplace your ID card - you may purchase another one for $5 in the office**

**Students - If you do NOT have an animal at VTEC - You do NOT have permission to be on the farm/in the stalls, etc.**



Sheep Meetings will be held EVERY Wednesday at 6pm.  See Mr. Baker if you have questions.



Goat Meetings will be held EVERY Thursday at 6pm.  See Mr. Baker if you have questions.
Students - the front parking lot is for Staff and Visitors only - please do not park in the front parking lot.


Make plans to attend TCOE's College Fair on Tuesday, September 12th 5:30-8:00pm at the Visalia Convention Center. This fair only comes once a year.  Let's represent VTEC!  Seniors who attend can apply for a scholarship.



PSAT October 11th- All sophomores and juniors will test.  Juniors are eligible to earn scholarship money!


SENIOR INFORMATION

Seniors have until January 31st to submit their senior portraits for the yearbook.  You may submit your photos to Mrs. Fraley in Room 6.

COS INFORMATION

Important Note!  October 20th is the last day to drop with a "W".  "W's" may affect your future financial aide. If you earn less than a "C" at COS, you must retake the course, and again, this will affect your future financial aide!  Your grades will follow you, good or bad.

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

Below are several volunteer organizations if you still need to complete your 12 hours per year of community service...


SCICON Counselors wanted for the 2017-18 school year!  SCICON APPLICATIONS DUE BY SEPTEMBER 8TH.  Seniors who have not yet served will have first priority, juniors second, and you can earn 100 community service hours.  Students must complete all missed work while away at SCICON, as well has have a high Career Readiness Rating.  Students with low attendance, grades, or CRR's will need to improve by Spring to be considered.  Prospective counselors must attend mandatory SCICON training.  Applications may be picked up from Mrs. Roebuck in the office.

Students interested in volunteering for our 8th annual event AgriNation on September 23rd can view the informational flyer on the bulletin board.  The purpose of the event is to show our girls and community members the importance of agriculture in our valley through various activities and game booths, and local vendors.
