STUDENT INFORMATION

Do you like chickens and rabbits?  Do you want to be more involved at VTEC?  Need community service hours?  Or maybe you are just looking for something to do during the week and/or on the weekend.  Mrs. Potter needs YOU!  There will be an informational meeting at break this Friday, April 13th, about the Small Animal Enterprise in Room 14.  Come see how you can get involved!

Students who are unable to attend afterschool FFA Meetings, there will be an FFA Meeting at lunch in Room 11 TODAY!!. THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO EARN FFA POINTS!

SENIORS - Grad Nite tickets are $85 per student.  You must have a permission slip to purchase a ticket.  Permission slips and tickets are available in the Student Store from 1:30pm-6:00pm.  DEADLINE TO PURCHASE TICKETS IS APRIL 16TH.

JOSTENS will be on campus Thursday, April 26th at 2:30pm to hand out cap/gowns.  More information to follow.

Scholarship Foundation meeting dates: April 26th; May 1st; and May 24th.

SSC Meeting - Monday, April 23rd at 3:45pm in Room 4.

Open House - Thursday, May 3rd from 6pm-7:30pm.

Tulare County Library Book Festival - April 14, 2018 at the Visalia Library from 10am-3pm.

ASB is sponsoring a Blood Drive April 20th. (Students 16, 17, and 18 years old must have parent permission slip and weigh at least 110 pounds to donate). See Mrs. Lefler for permission slips in Room 8.

ASB elections for 2018-2019 will be held Friday April, 27th. See Mrs. Lefler for an application.  Applications are due no later than April 20th.

Parking Permits are now required of all students who park in the student parking lot.  You must show your drivers' license and know your vehicle make and model in order to obtain your Parking Permit.
ASB will be selling PIZZA every Tuesday and Thursday at lunch in Room 8.

STUDENTS:  The front parking lot is for staff, parents and visitors only.

USDA 3rd Annual Leadership Experience - June 11th-15th at CSUS Turlock.  More information in the office.

JUNIOR INFORMATION

Parents of Juniors - How to Apply to College - May 15, 2018, VUSD Board Room @ 6pm.


VTEC juniors will visit Cal Poly SLO on April 27th as part of our AVID College and Career curriculum. More details to follow!



VTEC sophomores and seniors will visit Fresno State on May 4th as part of our AVID College and Career curriculum.  More details to follow!

COS INFORMATION

VTEC's Priority Registration Day is May 1st ~


*         Students may begin searching classes at cos.edu.  Make sure to entire the fall 2018 semester and submit before searching!



*         Concurrent High School Permission forms will be distributed to all VTEC students in AVID the week of April 2nd.  Completed forms, including parent signature will be due April 13th

o   Forms must list exact courses students wish to take, for example, Math 230 or Comm 001.


COS Request Forms will be distributed on April 13th.  Students may then transfer the course information form the HS Permission form to the COS Request form.  Complete the entire form and take it home for parent signatures.  This will be your ticket in the door on May 1st.
