STUDENT INFORMATION

Scholarship Foundation Meeting TONIGHT at 6pm in Room 4.

SCICON Counselor Training - Friday, October 4th at 8am in Room TBA.

AgVentures! Is looking for students to volunteer at the Harvest Festival on October 12th.  See Mrs. Williams for information and sign-up in the office.

Attention All Juniors and Seniors! Are you interested in developing your leadership and career skills? Do you want to explore college campuses? Could you use paid summer work? #LEAD is a Visalia Youth Program for Juniors and Seniors in the Visalia Area. We hold Bi-monthly career readiness sessions at COS, and have yearly field trips to college campuses. In the summer, our students have the opportunity to earn a PAID Work Experience Contract in a professional setting! If interested pick up a flyer and application at the front office. SENIORS - Jostens Cap-N-Gown Orders -  Josten's will be on campus to take cap-n-gown orders - October 10th and October 17th - During AVID in Room 4.

CSF t-shirts are still on sale - $8.00.  See Mrs. Fraley or bring your money to the CSF meeting on Wed. October 2nd.

Harvest Dance -Saturday, October 5th, 8pm-11pm at MWHS.  $15 with ASB, $25 w/o ASB, $45 at the door.  You will need a permission slip to purchase a ticket.  Tickets for sale in the office.

Pancake Breakfast Tickets -on sale in the office - $5.00/each.

Pancake Breakfast Volunteers Needed -Students (earn community service hours) and parents - volunteers needed.  Sign-up sheet in the office.

Pancake Breakfast Donations Needed -Donations needed for the Pancake Breakfast.  Call or stop by the office to sign up.
Feria de Education at Fresno State on Saturday, October 5th from 10am-3pm.  See Mrs. Williams for more information or the flyer on the Bulletin Board.

Ignite your Curiosity Workshop - Open to 9th and 10th graders on Monday, October 14th  at 6pm at EDHS.  See Bulletin Board or Mrs. Williams for more information.

PSAT Testing - All sophomores and juniors will be taking the PSAT on October 16th.  Go to Khanacademy.org to practice for the PSAT.

Foundation Pancake Breakfast/Fall Festival - October 19th - 7am-12Noon.  Breakfast, pumpkin sales, hayrides, face-painting, raffle, plants sales and more.

Students -Dream it Be it Career Conference coming up on Saturday, October 26, 2019.  See the flyer on the bulletin board and see Mrs. Williams for more information.

CSF Meeting Dates -CSF Meetings will be held on the following dates - all meetings held during lunch - October 2nd, November 6th, December 4th, February 6th, March 4th, April 2nd and May 6th.  See Mrs. Fraley or Mrs. Williams if you have questions.

FFA Chapter Meeting Dates -November 5th, December 3rd, January 22nd, February 4th, March 3rd, April 1st and the Awards Presentation on May 14th.

Yearbook Information - VTEC Yearbook has created an Instagram. Check it out and post your own VTEC-related pictures to @vtecyb2020.

ASVAB Test - The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) presentations will be on Wednesday 11/6/19 in Room 4:

·         All Seniors 11:10am-11:40am

·         All Juniors 11:45am-12:15pm

The ASVAB test will be offered to all seniors on Friday, November 8th at 8:30am and to all juniors on Friday, November 15th at 8:30am.   Find out more at https://www.asvabprogram.com/.  See Mrs. Williams if you have any questions.

Students:  If you order food to be delivered during lunch, the office will NOT accept the delivery.  You must meet the delivery at the front gate.

Students:  Reminder - The front parking lot is for staff, parents and visitors only.

YEARBOOK INFORMATION

Yearbook Order Forms are available in the office.  Yearbooks are $45 until October 31st.  $50 from November 1-January 31st; $55 from February 1 to April 30th; $60 until sold out.    Senior Pages for sale-$20 for ½ page and $30 for full page.  Cash or check only.  See Mrs. Sessions-Owens if you have any questions.

Congressional Nomination - Congressional Nomination to attend the US Service Academy applications are due November 15th.  In addition, there will be an Academy Information Night on October 3rd at 6:30pm at the CUSD Professional Development Building in Clovis.  See Mrs. Williams for more information.

COS INFORMATION

October 18th  -  Final Drop date-students will receive a "W"

December 3rd -   COS Registration for VTEC
