**Spring Break - April 14th-18th**

COS Registration for VTEC is April 29th.  See Mrs. Kelly or Mrs. Lalanne if you have questions.  More information to follow.

It is that time to start thinking about COS classes for next year. We will be registering for Summer 2025 and Fall 2025 on April 29th at 8AM. During the next three weeks, Ms. Kelly will be holding RTI's and meeting with students to help pick classes and fill out digital permission forms. All permission forms will be due before Spring Break. The schedule of classes is currently available here<https://banweb.cos.edu/prod/hzsched.p_search>. I would encourage all of you to have a look at the classes available and pick a few that interest you. Be sure to select the correct term at the top before searching. In addition to the course as COS, we will also offer the following classes her at VTEC next Fall:

*         AGTC 201 - Small Engines

o   6th period

o   Requires permission from Mr. Wyrick

*         ASL 002 - American Sign Language 2

o   M/W After School (until 5:15pm)

o   Must have passed ASL 001 with a C or better

*         COMM C1000 - Introduction to Public Speaking

o   M/W After School (until 5pm)

*         COUN 025 - College and Life Skills

o   T/Th  After School (Until 4:45)

*         ENGL C1000 - Academic Reading and Writing

o   T/Th After School (unit 5:30pm)

o   Only available for Seniors with all C's or higher in 9-11th grade English

*         SPAN 001 - Beginning Spanish

o   M/W After School (Until 6pm)

If you would like classes for either Summer of Fall, please be sure to join an RTI or come see Ms. Kelly before April 11th.

Seniors - The attached Request for Transcript must be completed and returned to Mrs. Roebuck prior to graduation.  The official transcript will be mailed to the college you request.  Please note that this step is required for many college admissions . Hard copies of the form are available in the office. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Lalanne or myself Mrs. Roebuck.

Ag Boosters Committee Meeting -April 23rd at 6pm in Room 4 at VTEC.  See attached flyer.
Graduation Speech Try-Outs Sign Ups -If you are interested in speaking at graduation, sign ups are available in the office.  Try-outs will be April 24 and April 25th.  See Mrs. Gutierrez to sign up.
Senior Upcoming Dates -

  *   Graduation Speech Try-outs - April 24th and April 25th.
  *   Prom - May 10th
  *   Grad Nite - May 12th
  *   Senior BBQ - May 28th
  *   Scholarship Night - May 29th
  *   Senior Sunset - June 4th
  *   Graduation - June 5th @ 4pm @ LJ Williams Theater
Students - If your third party food delivery is delivered after the lunch bell rings - you may pick up your food after school. Food will not be available during class time.

Parents/Students - If your student has an unscheduled/COS period and chooses to remain on campus they must report to Room 4 and stay in the room for the duration of the period.  Due to safety, staff must know where students are at all times while on campus.  Students who have an unscheduled/COS class during their schedule may leave campus but must check out through the front office.  Thank you for your understanding.

Students - Esports Club meets every Tuesday after school until 4:30pm in Mrs. Ramirez class, Room 8. Student and Parent contract needs to be signed to join and participate.

Students - Bible Club meets every Monday and Thursday at lunch in Mrs. Foll's room - Room 14. Come join us - open to all!

Students -Yearbooks for sale in the office.  Cost is $65. Forms are available in the office.

Students, Parents and Staff - Check out the Calendar on the VTEC website!  You can see all of the VTEC activities on the Calendar.  Reach out if you have questions.

FFA Calendar of Events - The 2024/2025 FFA Calendar of Events is attached.

Students - Friendly reminder that the front parking lot is for staff and visitors only.  There is student parking in the lot north of the office.  Thank you -

Students - If you have 3 tardies, you will lose off campus lunch privileges for 3 days.
If you have 6 or more tardies, you will lose off campus lunch privileges for 5 days and have lunch detention in Room 4 for the first 20 minutes of lunch.

Students - If you have any of the following - you will NOT be able to leave campus for lunch:

  *   Two or more F's
  *   One F and any D's
  *   3+ D's

If you are late coming back from lunch, you will lose off campus privileges for 5 days.
