Good morning Explorers, let's remember to have La Joya PRIDE in everything we do!

*    STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

*       LJ AVID Night at Buffalo Wild Wings
Get your Wing on!   Buffalo Wild Wings that is. Help Support la Joya AVID Wednesday March 8th by encouraging your family to dine at Buffalo Wild Wings. The fundraiser is all day, and includes take out, so come out enjoy delicious wings and Support La Joya AVID!
*       RTI 3/9
All students will need to sign up for an RTI Enrichment.  Please so this by Wednesday at break.
*       EDHS 8th Grade Preview Day
The El Diamante 8th grade preview day will be this Friday, March 10th. All permission slips should have been turned into your 1st period teacher.  If you have not turned in your permission slip, please take it to Mrs. Stephens in the Magellan office at break or in between classes.
*       PRIDE Fun Friday
March 17th will be our next Fun Friday.  Remember to show your LJ PRIDE by keeping your grades above a 2.3 in all of your class, be on time to class, show PRIDE by not getting any referrals, and have no unexcused absences.
*       Fiesta School Dance
Fiesta Fiesta Fiesta!!! It's finally here! This Friday is the Fiesta Dance. This will be our last dance, so don't miss out on fun dancing, tacos from Tacos Galacticos, churros, nachos, Jamba Juice photo booth, tattoos, games, and much more!!. Tickets go on sale at lunch  for $5

*       School-Wide Fundraiser
Please support our spring school-wide fundraiser in selling Cookie-Dough.  Sales ends Thursday 3-16-17.  The TOP selling 1st period class in both 7th and 8th grade will win a donut party! Top three sellers in both 7th and 8th grade will get to SPIN THE MONEY WHEEL! For a chance to win $100!
Fundraiser money supports student activities such as school dances, end of the year celebration, 8th grade Adventure Park, fun end of the year school activities, and much more.   So sell, sell, selll!!!!

*       WEB Lunch Meeting
There will be a WEB lunch meeting during the first 5 minutes of lunch, Wednesday March 8th in room 405.
*       Pizza Sales
Band will be selling pizza Thursday. $2 per slice and $1 for a water.

*       Time Change This Weekend
It's the time of year again to change your clocks.  Saturday night, please remember to set your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed.

*       Garden Club
Garden Club will meet this Wednesday after School.  Come out and help Mrs. Gibson with our amazing Garden.

*    Sports ANNOUNCEMENTS

*       Track Parent Meeting
Track will be having their parent meeting this Wednesday, March 8 at 4:30 pm in the cafeteria. Please make sure you attend in order to get the information needed for season.
