Today is a Regular bell schedule.

Good morning Explorers, let's remember to have La Joya PRIDE in everything we do!

STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS


*       High School Registration



Attention 8th grade students.  El Diamante will be here on Wednesday and Thursday this week to meet with our 8th grade students during their PE period.  Be prepared to sign up for your  classes for high school during this time.  The packets that were given to you should be reviewed and discussed with your parents so you will be ready to select the classes you would like to take while the counselors are here.  There will be a make-up day for students that miss this week on Monday, March 20th.



*       Students should sign up for RTI by Wednesday, March 15th.

*       PRIDE Fun Friday
March 17th will be our next Fun Friday.  Remember to show your LJ PRIDE by keeping your grades above a 2.3 in all of your class, be on time to class, show PRIDE by not getting any referrals, and have no unexcused absences.


*       School-Wide Fundraiser
Please support our spring school-wide fundraiser in selling Cookie-Dough.  Sales end this Thursday 3-16-17.  The TOP selling 1st period class in both 7th and 8th grade will win a donut party! Top three sellers in both 7th and 8th grade will get to SPIN THE MONEY WHEEL! For a chance to win $100!   Fundraiser money supports student activities such as school dances, end of the year celebration, 8th grade Adventure Park, fun end of the year school activities, and much more.   So sell, sell, sell!!!!


*       El Diamante Cheerleaders



8th grade students, if you are interested in trying out for the El Diamante cheerleading squad, they will be here on Wednesday, March 15th during lunch with applications.  You can get an       application from the cheerleaders, or pick one up from the 8th grade office on Wednesday.



*       Garden Club meets Wednesday after school.

Sports announcements



*       Tuesday 3/14:



Track has a home meet at El Diamante, start time is at 4:00pm.  Students will be released at 2:45pm from class to change and walk over to El Diamante.



*       Wednesday 3/15:

7th grade Baseball and Softball play at Ridgeview, start time is 4:00pm, and students will be released from class at 2:45pm.


*       Saturday 3/18:

Boys Baseball will be playing a doubleheader vs. Clarke Intermediate, start times are 9am and 12pm.  7th grade boys will be at Clark Intermediate while 8th grade will be at Clovis High.


*       Boys Soccer:



7th Grade Boys Soccer players, please return your gear to Mr. Henderson ASAP to avoid getting fined.
