Today is a regular bell schedule

Good morning Explorers, let's remember to have La Joya PRIDE in everything we do!

STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

* Attention students, as a reminder to earn Fun Friday, as a school we must have 80 incidents or less for the month.  We currently have (74) incidents this month. Students must have good grades, good attendance and good behavior to be eligible to participate.  So let's make sure to show our La Joya PRIDE and help our school earn Fun Friday.
* Saturday University will be tomorrow, October 21st. Learn Sign Language with Miss Denton and have your friends sign up too, so that you can secretly communicate in silence. Have a blast with your friends learning a fun language through games and videos. Sign up for Mr. Hefner's for Strategic Games class. More games added.  Fun in the Game Room....Need to make up days for PE? Want to practice your basketball skills before winter tryouts? Sign up for Ms. Beggs basketball class.  To register for these classes go to the La Joya Website Saturday University link and pick up a parent permission form in one of the pods.

*Choir is selling pizza today, $2 a slice and $1 for water.

*Get Ready for Red Ribbon Next week:
We'll kick it off by Dressing in Red, and signing the pledge in your 1st period classroom. Monday will also begin our schoolwide door decorating contest.
Tuesday is crazy everything day, so go crazy for a drug free life
On Wednesday we wear Pink, so let's see how pink we can be
Thursday is country/western day
And Friday is dress in anything Disney.
We will have activities each lunch to celebrate life without drugs. Look for the flyers and posters around campus for more information.  Dress code still applies.

*PE students remember that as the weather gets cooler you are allowed to wear sweat pants, yoga pants, or any athletic type pants and they can be any color. You can also buy a pair of La Joya sweats or sweatshirt from either the boys or girls locker room for 20 dollars each.

* PULSE NEWS
Today, Cheer and Football clubs will be going to the Adult School field for the football game. Please report directly to your coach.

*Cafeteria News
Starting Monday October 23rd the Lunch indoor Vending cart will be closed.  ALL snack bar windows at lunch will be open for cash and account money.

Reminder:
Window # 1 and #2 are open before school for breakfast and window #1 is breakfast only at break.

*Cross Country Awards will be Monday October 23rd at 3:30 in the gym. Runners make sure to turn in your uniforms ASAP, girls to girls locker room and boys to Mr. Hefner.


*SPorTs ANNOUNCEMENTS

Friday 10/20

Volleyball plays their last home game tonight vs. Green Acres, start time is 4:00-It is also 8th Grade Night.
