Good morning Explorers, let's remember to have La Joya PRIDE in everything we do!

STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

*All AVID students who sold candles, please come immediately after school on Thursday at 12:30, to the gym to collect your sold candles. Candles will need to be picked up by some students before we leave Friday.

*It is a holly jolly time of year indeed. One way you can tell is by all the candygrams being swooped up. There will be many happy Explorers. It's still not too late to get some candygrams for your friends, family, or staff. AVID will be selling Candygrams today and tomorrow only. Come get them before they are all gone!!

*1st Semester Finals Schedule
Today is 2nd period and 5th period Finals.  Students are out of school at 12:30 p.m.  Thursday is 3rd period and 6th period Finals.  Students are out of school at 12:30 p.m.  Friday is 4th period and 7th period Finals.  Students are out at 12:30 p.m.  Please try to have all appointments scheduled outside these times.  Food served before school and at break only.

*PULSE Program
PULSE is collecting coats for women, kids, men and small children.  The last day to drop off coats to the PULSE program is Friday, December 21st.

Sports ANNOUNCEMENTS

The LaJoya Varsity basketball team defeated Divisadero, 47 - 24, on Monday. Offensive standouts were Noah Garcia, Johnny Chavez, and Jalen Bullock (6 points); Elijah Martinez and Joseph Diaz (5); Max Martin, Cooper Schimpf, Jayden Christenson, and Daniel Coronado (3); Freddie Valencia and Elijah Tamayo (2). Defensive standouts were Jaden Bullock, Avery Conway, Cooper, Martinez, Garcia, Martin, and Valencia.

On Monday the JV boys basketball team defeated Divisadero 53-21. Leading La Joya on offense were Santana Guijarro with 18 points, Emmanuel Robles (15), Abraham Maciel (7), Connor White (5), Keynen Gomez and Jayden Lopez (4), and Kevin Baldwin (1). Great team effort on defense and executing the press.

Congratulations to the La Joya JV boys soccer team who beat Divisadero 6-1 on Monday. Joshua Urista scored 3 goals, Angel Batiz scores 1 goal, Beckham scored one and David Medina scored 1.

Home Game- Girls Soccer & Basketball vs. Green Acres- 3:30pm (release at 3:05pm)

Away Game- Boys Soccer & Basketball @ Green Acres-Bus Departure- 2:35pm.

Wrestling practice @ El D- 5:30pm


Thursday 12/20

Basketball/Soccer practice @ 3:30pm
Wrestling Match @ JFK- Bus Departure- 2:00pm
