STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

*Pizza Sales
   Athletics is selling pizza tomorrow, $2 a slice and $1 for a water.

*Attention students!  It is not too late to join our amazing Odyssey of the Mind competition team!  Practices are 2-3 days each week after school, from 4:30 - 6:30 pm in our library.  If you are interested in creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving, please contact Coach Berta Johnson at bjohnson02 at vusd.org<mailto:bjohnson02 at vusd.org>, or talk with Mr. Waters or Mr. Hambleton.

*Students, the PRIDE Store will be open today at both 1st and 2nd lunch.  You can either cash in your PRIDE tickets for prizes, use your PRIDE ticket account to purchase prizes or bank your tickets for another time.  Be sure to have tickets ready or have your student ID ready to use your account.

*Reading Revolution!
La Joya is happy to announce that we will be sending teams to this year's Reading Revolution event.  Reading Revolution is an exciting book competition.  See Miss Dill in the library or Mrs. Moore in room 403 for more information.

*Welcome Back Dance
Tomorrow night, Sept. 21st is our Welcome Back Dance.  The dance will be from 3:30pm - 5:00pm in the gym.  Come on out and have a great time!

Cross Country Meet @ Mooney's Grove Park (release time 2:15)
Race times for today are:
JV Girls- 3:45
JV Boys- 4:05
Varsity Girls- 4:25
Varsity Boys- 4:45

Football/volleyball practice @ 3:30pm


Friday 9/21
Volleyball practice @ 3:30pm
