Today is a RTI bell schedule
Good morning Explorers, let's remember to have La Joya PRIDE in everything we do!
STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
* Tug of War?
Students, do you have some muscle power? Do you have enough muscle power to beat an opposing team in a round of Tug of War? There will be a Tug of War activity next Friday, April 12, during Fun Friday to see who has the most muscle power. We will be holding a free raffle for a chance to participate in Tug of War. All members of the winning team will receive a gift card. Raffle tickets will be available for students during both lunches. Be sure to put your name in the raffle, to make sure you are chosen for Tug of War. Good luck!
* Looking for something to do this Saturday. Come to WIN Academy. You can play board and computer games with Mr. Saroca, play Sports with Mr. Hunt, or get caught up in math with Ms. Mederos. On top of that, attending helps you makeup an unexcused absence. Sign up through the La Joya website, and encourage a friend to sign up too.
*Band is selling pizza today, $2 a slice and $1 for a water.
*ARK Week
Starting on Monday, April 8th, our school will be participating in A.R.K Week, also known as Acts of Random Kindness Week. You will receive The Kindness Challenge Handout that will have tasks to complete. If you complete every kindness task and return the challenge handout to room LM3, you can earn five points for your district and you will be given a free District T-Shirt. We will also have dress-up days for each day of the week:
For our first day of A.R.K week, on Monday, spread laughter around campus by dressing up as your favorite meme. Please ensure that all memes are school appropriate.
Are you on Team Kindness? On Tuesday, be a team player and show your team spirit by wearing your favorite sports jersey! You can also represent teamwork by wearing your District's color!
For Wednesday, be sure to radiate positivity by wearing neon to outshine negativity!
On Thursday, remember to wake up kind to start your day off right! Be just as sweet as your dreams and come to school wearing your favorite pair of Pj's. Also, please remember to wear pajamas that are within the dress code.
For our last day of A.R.K week, show compassion by exploring the good within yourself and those around you. Come to school dressed up as a Tourist!
Dress code still applies. Remember to stay kind La Joya, and show your district pride!
