Good morning Explorers, let's remember to have La Joya PRIDE in everything we do!


STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

* Tug of War?
Students, do you have some muscle power?  Do you have enough muscle power to beat an opposing team in a round of Tug of War? There will be a Tug of War activity this Friday, April 12, during Fun Friday to see who has the most muscle power. We will be holding a free raffle for a chance to participate in Tug of War. All members of the winning team will receive a gift card. Raffle tickets will be available for students during both lunches. Be sure to put your name in the raffle, to make sure you are chosen for Tug of War. Good luck!

*Choir is selling pizza tomorrow, $2 a slice and $1 for a water.

*ARK Week
Starting today, April 8th, our school will be participating in A.R.K Week, also known as Acts of Random Kindness Week. You will receive The Kindness Challenge Handout that will have tasks to complete. If you complete every kindness task and return the challenge handout to room LM3, you can earn five points for your district and you will be given a free District T-Shirt. We will also have dress-up days for each day of the week:

For our first day of A.R.K week, on Monday, spread laughter around campus by dressing up as your favorite meme. Please ensure that all memes are school appropriate.

Are you on Team Kindness? On Tuesday, be a team player and show your team spirit by wearing your favorite sports jersey! You can also represent teamwork by wearing your District's color!

*Spring Break
Spring break will be from April 15th through April 22nd.  School resumes on Tuesday, April 23rd.

Home Baseball/Softball Game vs Ridgeview. Please release BASEBALL players only at 2:50pm.
Track- practice after school


Tuesday 4/9

All Sports practice after school.
Chipotle Fundraiser 5:00pm-9:00pm




Parent ANNOUNCEMENTS

The next PTSA meeting will be Wednesday, April 24th from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in the Library.
