STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

*Calling all spellers. If you would like to participate in the Tulare County Spelling Bee, come by and see Mrs. Allen in Room 503 to pick up a spelling list and find out more information about the spelling bee.

*1st Semester Finals Schedule
Today is 2nd period and 5th period finals.   Students are out at 12:30 p.m.  Tomorrow is 3rd period and 6th period finals.  Students are out at 12:30 p.m.  Friday is 4th period and 7th period finals.  Students out at 12:30 p.m.  Please try to have all appointments scheduled outside these times.  Food served before school and at break only.

*Winter Break is from Dec. 23rd through Jan. 10th.  School will resume on Monday, Jan. 13th, with a regular late start Monday bell schedule.  Have a safe and happy break!


sports ANNOUNCEMENTS


Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Soccer team who beat Divisadero on Monday 11-0. All of the girls contributed to the win, playing a variety of positions. Bella Villarreal and Joscelyn Housey each got two goals. Scoring a goal each were Carmen Gaebe, Daisy Lopez, Morgan Philippe, Jadyn Rivas, Keyana Speight, Jordyn Soto and Isabella Stuhaan. Allison Alvarez came up with two defensive saves and Alisha Vasquez kept them to no goals with 5 saves in the net. Come watch them take on Green Acres Wednesday at 3:30.

On Monday the Varsity Lady Explorer Basketball Team played a strong game against Divisadero winning by a score of 50-13.  Kalisa Holmes had a many offensive rebounds and put backs, finishing with 16 points.  Nevaeh Creason followed with multiple steals and 11 points.  Reyna Soto played great defense and finished with 9 points.  Olivia Torres played multiple positions and finished with 6 points.  Anabelle Navarro had 4 points.  Marissa Huerta and Ashley Bernardo each had 2 points.  The team's record is now 3-0 with a home game on Wednesday against Green Acres.  GO EXPLORERS!

On Monday the JV Boys Basketball team defeated Divisadero 45-18. Leading the Explorers were Jacob Avila (14 points), Ezra Ayers (9), Matthew Perez (6), Joseph Pena (5), Cash Marquez (3), and Wesley Ball, Justin Yandell, and Owen Reimer (2 each). Great defense from Pena, Ayers, Avila, Marquez, Perez, and Ball.

The Girls JV Basketball Team defeated Divisadero on Wednesday 36 - 9.  Citali Barajas led the way with 10 points, while Saira Gutierrez scored 7 points and Khianna Hardwick added 6 points.  The team played strong defense all game long, leading to several turnovers.  The girls will play Green Acres at home, Wednesday after school at 3:30, be there!


Parent ANNOUNCEMENTS

Please be mindful our of finals schedule this week, as we have a limited opportunity in which to send passes for students to pick up items. Please try to have all items your child will need, with them when they arrive on campus.
