Good morning Explorers, let's remember to have La Joya PRIDE in everything we do!


STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

*Monday, March 18th is a Minimum Day, students are released at 1:30pm.

* Attention DC/NY 2019 participants! There is a mandatory parent and student meeting in Room 407 at 5:30 PM on March 14th. We will be discussing important details regarding our trip! See Ms. Austerman if you have questions or concerns.

*Athletics is selling pizza today, $2 a slice and $1 for a water.

*Cheer Packets
Cheer Packets are now available at EDHS student services offices, and the La Joya front office. Packets are due March 29th at place of pick up.  You must complete a packet in order to try out for the EDHS 2018-2019 cheer squads.  No late packets will be accepted.  The EDHS cheerleaders will be visiting the La Joya campus tomorrow during lunch.

*Congratulations to 3 of our 8th graders, Emily Felix, Eavan Ford, and Katty Zhang, who had their artwork selected by the Tulare County Farm Bureau to be featured in the 2019-20 school calendar.  Great job, and congrats also to Miss Stringham for encouraging their participation and creativity.

*All students and parents interested in the AVID Program at El Diamante High School are invited to attend AVID Night in Room 357 immediately following tonight's Future Miner Night. Meet current AVID students and teachers, and learn about AVID through a short presentation at 7pm. You do not have to be enrolled in AVID currently to attend.

*Please support our spring school-wide fundraiser in selling Cookie-Dough.  All money should be returned to your 1st period teacher tomorrow, March 13th.   The top three sellers in the school will get to SPIN THE MONEY WHEEL! For a chance to win from $5-$100!  So sell, sell, sell!
