Good morning Explorers, let's remember to have La Joya PRIDE in everything we do!


STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

*Open House
Open House will be on Thursday, April 4th, from 6 - 7:30 pm.  Students and parents are welcome to visit teachers in their classrooms - there is no set bell schedule.  We will also have some wonderful performances from our Orchestra, Choir, and Band groups.  Tacos Galacticos will also be selling tacos, churros, and drinks, courtesy of our La Joya PTSA, from 5 - 7:30 pm.  We hope to see you all there!

* ATTENTION 7TH GRADERS! You can enroll for the 2020 DC/Jamestown/Williamsburg trip! There will be an informational meeting in Room 407 at 5:30 PM tonight! Bring your parents to gather information about this incredible opportunity!
*Builders Club meets today after school.
*Character Counts Winners
Congratulations to our Character Counts winners for Leadership - Barclay Avila, Jennavee Campos, Rylee Castro Jayden Lopez, Ian De Mello, Jason Parker, Jamie Ramiscal and Isabel Wong.  Great job!

 *AVID is selling pizza tomorrow, $2 a slice and $1 for a water.

*Cheer Packets
Cheer Packets are now available at EDHS student services offices, and the La Joya front office. Packets are due tomorrow, March 29th at place of pick up.  You must complete a packet in order to try out for the EDHS 2019 - 2020 cheer squads.  No late packets will be accepted.

*EDHS Dance Auditions
The dance audition will be held today, March 28th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm in the EDHS Dance Room.  Students must attend workshop in order to learn material to audition for dance team.  Students must complete dance packet available in the EDHS Dance Room or EDHS Student Services.  Students need to wear active/dance attire, tan or black jazz shoes, and hair secured out of the face.

The Capitol is cordially inviting you to join us tomorrow Friday March 29th to watch our Hunger Games Event- The Mandatory Propaganda Rally. If you would like to be a part of this spectacle, please make sure to wear your district colors in order to please our dear Capitol leader Mr. Hambleton. If you please The Capitol your districts will be rewarded with lots of candy, wristbands, and t-shirts for you to keep as well as points for your district so that you can try to take the lead. We will see you on Friday wearing your district colors and may the odds be ever in your favor."
