Good morning Explorers, let's remember to have La Joya PRIDE in everything we do!


STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

*AVID is selling pizza tomorrow, $2 a slice and $1 for a water.
*Picture retakes are this Thursday, Oct. 3rd.    If you would like to have your picture taken, please stop by the Pathfinder office.  If you are retaking pictures, please bring your original picture packet with you on Thursday.

*If you have an emergency card, please bring it to the student window before school, at break, lunch or after school.  For those who do not turn in an emergency card, or have one filled out online, lunch detentions are being assigned.

*Students the science trip to Monterey Bay is halfway full. If you are still interested in going please register as soon as possible with your science teacher.

Sports ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to the 7th grade volleyball team who placed 3rd this weekend at their tournament.  First match against Valley Oak went to a 3rd game ending with a 15-13 loss for La Joya. That was their only loss of the day. They beat Farmersville in two games and Then Exeter in two games. Great serves by Bella Rodriguez, Kaylene Barnes and Madison Gonzales. Great hits by Sienna Rivas and Khianna Hardwick. Outstanding passing by Mikayla Ramirez, Emma Taylor and Madison Gonzales.

Congratulations to the 7th grade volleyball team who beat JFK in two games. Scores were 25-13, and 25-22. Leading the team in points was Madison Gonzales, Mikayla Moreno and Bella Rodriguez. Madison Gonzalez also led the team in hits. Great job ladies!
