STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS



*Be an honor graduate! CJSF Sign-ups have begun.  Bring your semester report card and $1 due to Ms. Sayre in room 101 or Mrs. Allen in room 503 to see if you qualify to be a member of this prestigious society.  Sign-ups will end Friday, February 7th,  so don't delay!!

* There will be no school on Monday, Feb. 10th, it is a Staff Development Day.

*Garden Club meets today after school.

* Are you interested in competing in the Tulare County Math Super Bowl? If you love math and problem solving, sign up soon for Mrs. Cerecedo's or Mr. Harrell's enrichment RTI February 6. If you would like more information, talk to either teacher in 607 or 608. Space is limited!

* Cell Phones:  When you come onto campus in the mornings, cell phones must be turned off and placed in your backpack/bag for the entire day. This includes passing periods, break, and lunch.
* Looking for something to do this Saturday. Come to Saturday Academy.  You can get work done with Ms. Moore, watch movies with Ms. Austerman, or audition for the play with Mr. Morris.   On top of that, attending helps you make up an unexcused absence. Sign up through the La Joya website, and encourage a friend to sign up too.


Sports ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Soccer team who beat Green Acres 5-0 on Monday. Morgan Phillipe and Bella Villarreal each scored two goals. Alyviah Sanchez scored 1 goal. Assists by Isabella Stuhaan and Alyviah Sanchez. Alisha Vasquez came up with 8 saves. Allison Alvarez and Carmen Gaebe shut down their offense on defense. Great job ladies!

The Girls JV Basketball Team kept their winning streak rolling defeating Green Acres on Monday 34 - 21.  Alani Carranza was unstoppable scoring a game high 20 points, with Citali Barajas adding 4 points and multiple assists, Khianna Hardwick with 4 points and Santana Mendez with 4 points and strong defense.  Great job ladies!  Their final game will be today at Woodrow Wilson.


Wednesday 2/5

Basketball/Soccer Games vs. Woodrow Wilson @ 3:30pm.
Boys at Home (release all soccer at 3:00pm and 7th grade basketball at 3:00pm).
8th grade night
Girls @ Woodrow Wilson (Release time 2:15pm).
Wrestling practice at 5:30pm.


Thursday 2/6

Home Wrestling Dual vs Valley Oak @ 4:00pm (release time 3:00pm).
Basketball/soccer practice after school 3:30pm.
