STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS



* Students, show your school spirit this week during College Awareness Week.  Today, show up in your college gear, tomorrow, come dressed like your future Career, and Friday is Dress '90's Day, so show your best 90's attire!  Dress code still applies.

* Garden Club meets today after school.


*A reminder about the Dress Code.  The Visalia Unified School District Student Conduct Code for grades 7-12 reads as follows:  Clothes shall be worn as intended and be sufficient to conceal undergarments which shall be worn and covered at all times.  See-through or fish-net fabrics, halter tops, tube tops, spaghetti straps, off-the shoulder and low-cut tops are not acceptable.  Other types of dress that expose bare midriffs or cleavage are prohibited.  Basketball jersey style tank tops with scooped front, back and armholes are only allowed if worn with a T-shirt with sleeves.  Shirts with cut-off sleeves are not allowed. Hoodies, beanies, or any head gear may not be worn within the classroom.  Cell phones must be turned off and out of sight.  Also, beanies will not be permitted as of March 1.

*When bringing money to make purchases on campus, please do not bring anything larger than a $10 bill.   Also, if you are interested in being a Cafeteria worker, please see Mrs. McLeroy in the Cafeteria before school or at break.

*Calling all 8th graders!!!  Mark your calendar!  El Diamante cordially invites all incoming 9th grade parents to attend our 8th Grade Future Miner Night held on Monday, March 2nd.  This orientation will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the El Diamante Gymnasium.  This is an excellent opportunity to tour the EDHS campus, learn about the registration process and discover the exciting programs offered on our campus.  Tacos Galactico's and Bite Me Donuts/Ice Cream will be available for purchase!

* Hey, explorers, our school dance is this Friday, February 28th, after school from 3:30pm to 5:00pm.  Like the dress up day on Friday our theme for this dance is "All about the '90s" so come down and get groovy with us on Friday after school from 3:30-5pm. Tickets will be on sale this week for ONLY $3. See you there.
