Good morning Explorers, let's remember to have La Joya PRIDE in everything we do!


STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
.

* Looking for something to do this Saturday. Come to Saturday Academy.  You can get work done for History (or another class) with Ms. Austerman, or play some games with Ms. Mederos.  Sign up through the La Joya website, and encourage a friend to sign up too. Sign up<https://forms.gle/jQGGuRouXhia7md29> online before the end of school today if you want to order a lunch.

*Monday, January 27th is a minimum day, students are released at 1:30pm.

*ASB is selling pizza today, $2 a slice and $1 for a water.

*It is time again for CJSF sign-ups.  It is time for you to show your LJ PRIDE and get recognition for your hard work.  Join the proud who have graduated from La Joya as an Honor Graduate.  In order to be an Honor Grad you must be a member of CJSF for at least 3 of your 4 semesters here at La Joya.  These Sign-Ups are for both 7th and 8th grade students.  Bring your semester report card and $1 due to Ms. Sayre in Room 101 or Mrs. Allen in Room 503 to see if you qualify to be a member of this prestigious society.  Sign-ups will begin on Friday, January 24thand will run for one week only so don't delay!!



Sports ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Girls JV Basketball Team defeated Valley Oak on Wednesday 33 - 14.  Citali Barajas led the way with terrific defense and the team finished the game strong outscoring Valley Oak 13 to 1 in the 4th quarter.  The girls will play Ridgeview on the road, Wednesday after school at 3:30.


Tuesday 1/21

All sports practice at 3:30pm


Wednesday 1/22

Basketball/Soccer Games vs. Ridgeview @ 3:30pm.
Boys at Home (release all soccer at 3:00pm and 7th grade basketball at 3:00pm).
Girls @ Ridgeview (Release time 2:35pm).
Wrestling practice at 5:30pm.

The next PTSA meeting will be held on Monday, January 27th at 5:30pm in the Library.
