1. Do you want to get into Home Games for Free? And get major discounts on dance tickets? Buy an ASB sticker for $30 and save money. ASB stickers are now being sold in the Finance office. They will be sold all year long.

2. Attention Mt. Whitney Students!! The XL program offers a free snack and a variety of clubs. There is tutoring, Skills Club, Mock Trial, 3D-Printing, Weightlifting, Outdoors Club, Ag Science, Activities Club, Media Arts, Brazilian Jui-Jutsu, and Leadership Club. To find out more about these clubs come to Rm. S11!!
3. Come watch a free movie every Friday night with your XL. Movies start @ 4pm, in room B-25, every Friday. There will be free food. Bring your friends and your family! Parents and siblings welcome too! Want more info? Come to room S-11

4. Come join the video club EVERY Thursday after school. Come learn about videography, editing, photography, and graphic design in ROOM B-204.
5. GOT YEARBOOK? If not, you’d better hurry! Wednesday, May 9th is the LAST DAY to purchase a yearbook before Oak Day. We have fewer than 60 books left to sell and we CAN NOT ORDER ANY MORE so get yours NOW…while you still can! Bring $90, cash only, to Room B-207 before school or at lunch to reserve your treasured keepsake NOW!!!
6. After school from 3:30 to 4:00pm at M-4, we are selling fruit slushies for a dollar each every Tuesdays and Thursdays until TODAY.  Please come support SkillsUSA!
7. Attention ALL MW Athletes!  If you plan on participating in any sport next school year, NOW is the time to register for the SPORT PHYSICAL CLINIC on Wednesday, May 9th in the MW Gym.   Pick up the registration forms in the Nurse’s Office.  Please return the completed forms and $2.00 to the Nurse by Friday May 4th.  No late registrations will be taken.
8. Attention Juniors and Seniors:  THE JUNIOR/SENIOR PROM is Saturday, May 12 from 8 – 11 PM at the Visalia Convention Center!  Tickets will be on sale starting May 7th in the finance office and sales will end Friday May 11th at lunch. Prices are $25 single ticket with ASB; $35 single ticket w/o ASB; $45 single ticket at the door.  If your date to the PROM is not currently a Junior or Senior you must have an approved guest pass for them to purchase a ticket.  Also, if your date is not a VUSD student you must have an approved guest pass in order for your guest to attend the dance.  Remember that you must be clear of all fines through the library in order to be eligible to purchase a ticket
9. Attention Juniors- In need of community service hours?  Volunteer for the Conyer Elementary Book Fair. The book fair will be on May 7th-11th between 7:30-10:45 & 2:00-2:30.  Please sign up in the counseling office with Ms. Herrera if you are interested, space is limited.  To be considered please do not choose a time when you will be in a core class.
10. Do you want to join a fun group and make new friends?  Would you like to learn how to toss a flag or improve your dance skills?  Color guard may be the perfect fit for you!  Join us in the Band room on Tuesday, May 15th from 6-9pm and learn what it takes to be a part of the guard!  No Experience Necessary!
11. CSF (California Scholarship Federation) is taking nominations for next year’s officers now.  If you are currently a sophomore or junior member of CSF and are interested in running for an office, please see Miss Domena in I-9 to sign up.  Voting will be held May 9th through the 18th.
12. The weather has warmed up and the school administration would like to remind you that the Visalia Unified School District dress code policy will be strictly enforced.  The dress code was adopted to promote standards of dress conducive to a safe and positive learning environment.  The full policy can be located in the VUSD Student Conduct Code.  Please be sure to wear clothing that sufficiently covers under garments and midriff.  Avoid excessively short skirts or shorts, low cut and see-through tops.  Students may wear “sun protective headgear” which consists of a full brim, with no logo or lettering.  The hate must be a solid color and made of either canvas or cotton.  Hats are to be worn as intended (to provide sun protection) and are not be worn indoors.
13. Please come out and support the MW benefit volleyball game this Friday at 6 pm.  The first match will be MW football vs. MW volleyball.  The second match will be the winner of that match vs. your MW staff.  Cost is $5 at the door.  There will be items up for raffles, 50/50 drawings, old MW gear for sale and a snack bar.  All proceeds will benefit a student here at MW.  Please come show your Pioneer PRIDE and support this fun evening of entertainment  Want to donate? Please contact Mrs. Johnson
14.  Come out and hear the jazz band and concert bands perform at their last concert on Friday, May 11th at 7:00pm in the LJ Williams Theatre.  Our them is Heroes and Villains so come out dressed in your favorite hero or villain outfit and receive one free raffle ticket for our prize drawing!  Tickets are $10 general admission and $8 for students.
