  1.  Landed a job and need a work permit?  Come to the front office and pick up an application with Mrs. Reyes

2. Come hang out after school with XL!!! At XL, you can make new friends, get snack and food service, access our computer lab, get tutoring, discover new hobbies, and play video games.
3. Have you purchased your ASB sticker yet? You'll get into home games for free and discounts on dances! They are on sale before school, at lunch, and after school in the finance office. Get yours today!
4. Dungeons and Dragons club is meeting after school, every Friday, in room M6. Please join us
5.  Anime Club is meeting every Thursday after school in room M6.
6. Chess Club has started and meets Wednesdays and Fridays after-school in the library. Come join Us!
7. If you are swimmer or wanting to join the swim team, the pool is going to be available a few days a week to work on your skills. Go to S11 to get additional information."

8. Before and After-School, in the Library, academic tutoring support is available. Please stop by the Library during those times to find out more.

9. Hello Pioneers! All are welcome to join XL's Folklorico Dance class after school in the dance room on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30.  Ms. Rodriguez is teaching the class (Mrs. A's student teacher) and she is awesome!  No previous dance experience required.  Come on Tuesday to check it out!
10. Pioneers! Mt. Whitney High School is offering current Juniors and Seniors the opportunity to take the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) Test on November 9. This test is free and it is a great way to identify skill strengths and explore career ideas! Dress Up Days

Aidan - Hey Hiba! Have you heard about the dress up days for Cowhide week?

Hiba - I did! I'm so excited! Our student body submitted some amazing ideas and voted on some incredible dress up days.

Aidan - I agree. In case you haven't heard: Monday is Hubie (Hue-bie) Halloween, which is dress like Adam Sandler Day. Tuesday is The Shining, aka Twin Day, Wednesday is Boo'd up, so you've gotta come dressed as your type

Hiba - Thursday is Anything but a Trick or Treat Bag, and on Friday we are screaming spirit - wearing all of our MWHS and cow print gear.

Cowhide Week Minga Competition

Make sure you are dressing up and scanning in with your second period teacher during Cowhide week for the Minga Competition. Additional points are given if you attend any home athletic events during the week and participate or watch lunch time activities. Just look for the Minga Scan Station sign throughout the week and scan in so you can earn points. The top 100 students will receive an exclusive Cowhide week sticker!

Monday Night Rally + Trunk or Treat

Monday, October 24 we are hosting our first ever night rally and trunk or treat. Meet us in the gym at 7pm as we kick off cowhide week with a night rally & then follow us to the outdoor basketball courts to enjoy lots of food, merch, and family friendly fun! All are welcome!

Dunk Contest

Wednesday, October 26 is the Mt. Whitney VS Redwood dunk contest at Taylor's Hot Dogs. Come out and watch as our football players participate in a dunk contest against Redwood at 6pm.
