TODAY:
1. TUX & TAILS IS ONCE AGAIN ALLOWING BOYS TO SIGN UP TODAY FOR TUXEDO'S FOR PROM. Student will have to go to Tux & Tails and be measured NO LATER THAN APRIL 26th. Students must bring their School Student ID card to be measured. If interested please sign up in the Counseling Office.
2. INTERESTED IN JOINING ASB? OR RUNNING FOR AN ELECTED OFFICE FOR ASB? The time has come! Head to Room 31 (ASB room) TODAY at lunch to get all the information on how to run for office, how to apply for an interview, and what the application consists of. There are a few changes from the application last year. After the meeting, feel free to grab an application packet from Ms. Aguilar. Applications are open until Tuesday, April 30th. All applications are due on April 30th by 3:30pm to Ms. Aguilar. Stop by Room 31 if you have any questions about the process!!!
3. What is up Gamers, COMPUTER AND ESPORTS CLUB is holding a Smash Ultimate Tournament TODAY 5pm-8pm in the Cafeteria do you have what it takes to be Redwoods Champ? Register now for only 10 dollars, there are only 32 slots available! After Friday April 5th registration increases to 15 dollars. Not a big gamer? No problem, non-comp entry is only 2 dollars with Student ID and 5 dollars without ID; our local game store GameQore will be in the house playing Dungeons & Dragons, Magic the Gathering, and Pokemon with interested students for free! We will have raffles for a D&D book, a Magic deck, and a Pokemon deck! AOLJ Club will be selling food/snacks, and we might have a movie station! Get a Registration from Mr. Cazarez in Room 45 of the Academic Building!

NEW ANNOUNCEMENT:
1. REMINDER! It's time to sign up for Sports Physicals! Completed forms, signed with parent/guardian consent, are due back to the nurse, Mrs. Walkowiak, by April 26th. No late sign-ups will be accepted. Packets may be picked up in the office. Sports Physicals will be held on May 1st in the gym.
2. TRY OUT FOR THE REDWOOD RANGER COLOR GUARD! Thursday, April 25th thru Friday, May 3rd from 6:00p.m.-9:00p.m. in Room 81 (Band Room).
3. SPRING BREAK will be from April 15th to April 22nd. Students return to school on Tuesday April 23rd.
PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

MANDATORY CSF MEETING FOR LIFETIME SENIORS: CSF Lifetime Seniors MUST attend a MEETING in THE GYM at lunch on Wednesday April 24th to prepare and rehearse for the luncheon at the Visalia Convention Center on April 29th. Be sure to bring the signed district parent approval form and to have your introduction memorized. We will go over important details and rehearse as a group. In addition, Monday April 22nd is the last day to purchase tickets online at COS.edu/Foundation, by mailing a check to the COS foundation (915 S. Mooney Blvd, Visalia, CA. 93277), or by calling 559-730-3861 and using a credit card. REMEMBER - NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Cheatwood at gcheatwood at vusd.org<mailto:gcheatwood at vusd.org>. If you know you will not attend, please inform your adviser as soon as possible.
2. Students- are you interested in digital photography, photo journalism, and making something that your fellow Rangers will treasure for decades to come? Join the RHS Yearbook staff- applications are now available, through Mr. Feehan (room 40) or your counselor. Applications are due on the Friday April 26th after Spring Break.
3. DANCE RECITAL will be on April 26th at 7:00 p.m.; April 27th 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the LJ Williams Theatre.
4. JUNIORS.....You are invited to apply to the Visalia Rotary "Camp Royal" Leadership Conference this summer! Applications are available in the Counseling office (Mrs. Torres).Deadline to submit your application to the counseling office is Wednesday, April 24th. Listed below are some facts regarding the application process and selection:
* Camp Royal runs from Sunday, June 9th to Friday, June 14th...you must be able to attend the entire camp session.
* Application and interview will be used to select students
* Two letters of recommendation are required.
* Students must write a 100 words or less essay entitled: Why I would like to attend Camp royal and leadership responsibilities you have had in the past
5. GRADUATION SPEECH: Senior Graduation Speech Auditions will take place during the week of April 29th - May 3rd. If you are a senior interested in writing and giving the graduation speech, please sign-up in the Counseling Office by Thursday, April 25th. Once you sign-up, you will be sent specific information regarding the date and time of your audition. Please see Mrs. Barba-Tepper if you have any questions.
6. POWDERPUFF is FRIDAY MAY 3rd in the Bowl. The JV game is at 6:00pm and the Varsity game is at 7:30pm.
7. WoW Update, the finalists for Writing On the Walls have been notified. The envelopes have been delivered. Want to find out who wins? Join us at POETS ON THE PLAZA ON MAY 10TH (more info to come). Thank you to everyone who entered, you rock!
8. REDWOOD CULTURE & CLIMATE TEAM: Attention all Redwood students! Principal Shin is searching for student leaders to be a part of the Redwood Culture and Climate Team. The purpose of the team will be to foster and sustain a positive culture and climate at Redwood. The team will meet monthly with Principal Shin to address concerns or issues that arrive throughout the school year. If you are interested in being a Redwood Culture and Climate Team member, please contact Mrs. Barba-Tepper or sign-up in the Counseling Office with Mrs. Hayslett.
9. STAFF AND STUDENTS: AS OF TODAY STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WEAR HEADGEAR. This includes, but is not limited to caps, bandanas, sweatbands, hairnets, beanies, and do-rag! However, STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO WEAR "sun-protective headgear," which consists of a full brim hat, with no logo or lettering, which is of a solid color and is made of either canvas or cotton cloth. The hat is to be worn as intended to provide sun protection and is only to be worn outdoors. If you have any questions please see Mr. Lor, Mr. Paolinelli, or Mr. Marroquin.

Criteria: : be a graduating senior from a Tulare County High School, planning to attend college in Fall of 2019, have a cumulative 3.4 GPA, majoring in agricultural field of study, provide verification of college admission, be an active participant in a local agriculture organization or have agricultural work experience, and be a U.S citizen
