VISALIA-MINERAL KING MASONIC LODGE'S PUBLIC SCHOOLS NIGHT


California Masons have a long legacy of supporting public education.  As part of Public Schools Month, the Visalia-Mineral King Lodge conducts a special recognition in support of local schools.  Each year, VUSD principals and supervisors recommend outstanding employees for consideration as the Visalia-Mineral King Masonic Lodge's Teacher, School Employee, and Administrator of the Year.  The Superintendent's Cabinet conducts a final selection process and submits three names for each category.  The Masonic Awards Committee then selects the finalists that will be honored and has a tradition of keeping the finalists' names a secret until the night of the awards.  Awards night was held on Thursday, April 20, 2017.

VUSD is proud to announce this year's honorees:


Ø  Teacher of the Year:

Jeff Brown - Science Teacher, Green Acres Middle School

Ø  School Employee of the Year:

LaDonna Jones - Library Media Technician, Ridgeview Middle School

Ø  Administrator of the Year:

Sue Wallace-Sims - Principal, Golden Oak Elementary School
