Good morning Explorers, let's remember to have La Joya PRIDE in everything we do!

STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

*Monday, January 28th is a minimum day, students are released at 1:30pm.
* If you are interested in participating in Tulare County's Spelling Bee, it is time to SPELL!   See Mrs. Allen in Room 503 today during break or after school to arrange a time.

*Garden Club meets today after school.

*WIN Academy
Looking for something to do this Saturday. Come to WIN Academy. You can play board and computer games with Mr. Hefner, get caught up on History with Mr. Saroca, or get caught up in ELA with Ms. Moore. On top of that, attending helps you makeup an unexcused absence. Sign up through the La Joya website, and encourage a friend to sign up too.


Sports ANNOUNCEMENTS

The LaJoya Varsity Basketball Team won three games in the Visalia 8th Grade Tournament held over the weekend at LaJoya. The Explorers defeated Green Acres (56-23); Selma (43-15); and Kastner (51-46). Offensive standouts in three games were; Noah Garcia (35 points); Joseph Diaz (28); Cooper Schimpf (25); Max Martin (14); Johnny Chavez and Elijah Martinez (12); Avery Conway (10); Daniel Coronado and Jared McDaniels; Rylan Montgomery (3); and Jaydan Christenson (1).


Wednesday 1/23

Home Game -  Boys Soccer & Basketball vs. Ridgeview- 3:30pm (release time 3:05)  Away Game- Girls Soccer & Basketball @ Ridgeview (Release time 2:30pm)


Thursday 1/24

Team Pictures inside gym @ 3:30pm (bring picture packets)

The next PTSA meeting will be held on Mon. Jan. 28th from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in the Library.

Report cards will be sent home with students tomorrow.
